These are the words of Richard Peppiatt in a resignation letter to the owner of the Daily Star, Richard Desmond (above).
In it, Peppiatt unveils a damning insight into how the tabloid concocts fictitious stories and engages in scaremongering to generate sales for its red top rag.
Peppiatt should be applauded for finally seeing the light and blowing the whistle on Desmond's activities and revealing how his paper's actions go against the very British values that the
self righteous rag claims to defend.
